Installation guidelines
For best results, we recommend installation by the trained Simplex team. Here is an overview of the process:
- Acclimatise: Keep the boxes in the room for 24–48 hours before installation.
- Prepare the sub-floor: Ensure it is clean, dry and level (max 2 mm variation over 1 m).
- Underlay: Lay a moisture barrier and underlay for laminate and engineered floors.
- Expansion gap: Leave 8–10 mm gap around walls and fixed objects.
- Lay the boards: Start from the longest straight wall and stagger joints by at least 30 cm.
- Finish: Fix skirting, T-profiles and end profiles to cover expansion gaps.
Carpet tiles
Start from the centre of the room, use a tackifier adhesive and follow the arrow direction on the backing for the chosen pattern (monolithic, quarter turn, brick or ashlar).
